Weedmaps

The following are educational materials to send to dispensaries for display or to give out to their patients. They were originally a 4x6 in postcard but I decided that they needed a lot more flavor to be exciting to look at. Incorporating the images of product with textures and interesting typography created much more enticing and exciting reading material.

The Holiday Planning Guide serves as a best practice reference manual driven by data. I worked closely with the Sales team to create printable and digital materials that they could use to send out to dispensary and brand owners. I also created a condensed overview for LinkedIn.

The following are shirt designs that I created for our internal 420 celebration. All employees who attended were treated to on-site screen printed shirts to commemorate another successful 420 at Weedmaps.

As anyone knows, social media can be quite censored when it comes to cannabis and cannabis adjacent posts. So internally, the team decided on the slogan, “Moms deserve more than flowers.” I translated that to use interesting flower imagery layouts and textures that in a way hinted at psychedelia and surrealism to keep with the cannabis altered state of mind present without showing actual cannabis product.

The following is an extension of the paid media campaign for 420 Deals.

During this project, we faced a tough dilemma of a lot of our images in our digital asset manager to be revoked because of rights usage of the people in the images.. To combat that, I had to experiment with Google Gemini to generate the images of people using phones and people hanging out together. I also generated smoke to create the ambiance of a smoking session. To be perfectly transparent, I didn’t love having to use AI for the 2nd and 4th image here; however, there wasn’t a feasible creative way to solve the problem in such a tight turnaround where the stakeholders changed the parameters of the creative brief often.
